Welcome to
Gordon Community Preschool

Gordon Community Preschool is a non profit, community based preschool providing care and education for children aged 3 to 5 years. Operating for over 60 years, the preschool is set in the grounds of the former home to the King family, retaining much of its original warmth and character. We have a long established history within the local community and also place a value on building a sense of community amongst the preschool children, families and educators. The preschool is managed by a Board of Management comprised of preschool parents who work in conjunction with the preschool Director.

Gordon Community Preschool stands on the land of the Guringai people. We welcome families from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. We aim to honour and respect diversity.

2019 enrolment process

The enrolment process begins in approximately August of each year – when we start by offering places to children currently enrolled at Gordon Community Preschool and then begin to work through our wait list according to the priority of access policy. The whole process can take a few months and we appreciate your patience.

There is no need to ring the preschool to check where your child is on the wait list. We do not provide this information and it can slow the whole process down. We will contact you once we reach your child’s name on the waiting list.

Tours around the preschool are held on Tuesday and Friday mornings by appointment only. Please contact us to book your appointment today.

Have you put your child's name on our wait list?

Gordon Community Preschool accepts names on our wait list from the date of a child’s birth.

How do you know if your child's name is on the wait list?

All families whose children are on the waiting list will have received a confirmation letter from us.

Families with children currently enrolled at GCP must also ensure that they put any younger siblings names on the waiting list – ie. separate applications are required for each child.

We look forward to welcoming our new 2019 enrolments for an orientation to be held in November – stay tuned for details!
