Welcome to Gordon Community Preschool

Gordon Community Preschool is a non profit, community based preschool providing care and education for children aged 3 to 5 years. Operating for over 60 years, the preschool is set in the grounds of the former home to the King family, retaining much of its original warmth and character. We have a long established history within the local community and also place a value on building a sense of community amongst the preschool children, families and educators. The preschool is managed by a Board of Management comprised of preschool parents who work in conjunction with the preschool Director.

Gordon Community Preschool stands on the land of the Guringai people. We welcome families from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. We aim to honour and respect diversity.

2018 wait list update

We currently have no vacancies in our 3 day programme (4 year olds in their year before school). We have an extensive waiting list and we are not accepting wait list applications for this age group.

We are however, receiving applications for our 2 day programme this year (Mon/Tues & Thurs/Fri) for children who have turned 3 years old before February 2018.

Please contact the preschool for more information.

changes to the registered child care rebate

From 2nd July 2018, the new Child Care Subsidy will replace the Child Care Benefit. From this date, Registered Care will cease. Families can still claim for Registered Care up until and including 1st July 2018 by lodging their child care receipts with the Department of Human Services within 12 months from the date the care was provided. More information about the new child care fee assistance programs.
